Here’s my submission for Week 2. I tried to make sure it wasn’t too far down the page in my post. The story is 500 words exactly. http://hiimakestuff.wordpress.com/2014/01/11/flash-fiction-challenge-and-a-new-start/
500 is a mere number! What you’ve given is the amazing word!!
Thanks! I was a bit nervous about it. I haven’t even linked my post to Facebook yet, because I was a bit nervous about letting people read the story. I wasn’t sure if it might be totally ridiculous.
No way! It’s creative and well written and thoughtful!! Glad you shared!
In terms of my blog name, Thain is my last name and I played off the song by “Train in Vain” by The Clash and voila Thain in Vain!! Totally appreciate your connection to the Shire! Relate to the Hobbits!!
Ah….I am sadly under-cultured in music. It brings despair upon my friends and family. Some people have claimed I may be a lost cause in that regard. But yes, hobbits!
I’m up for participating! I saw someone mention your blog and this challenge on another blog I follow.

Where do I post/send in my submission?
You can either post it or link it in the Comments section of the corresponding prompt (e.g., prompt two). Does that make sense?!?!
I totally! I’ll post it on my blog and link it back here. Thanks for a fun challenge!
Great! Looking forward to writing with you!
