Prompt 26: Do you notice anything different about me?”
C is for Couples
By Eilidh Thain
”Do you notice anything different about me?” He asked.
“No,” she said.
“That’s weird ‘cause there’s something really different about me that most normal people would notice.”
“You’re not even looking at me.”
“Don’t need to.”
“Just glance this way.”
“No, I’m busy.”
“No, you’re not. You’re staring at the wall. Just glance at me. It’ll be worth it.”
“I’m sure it won’t be.”
“It will, I promise.”
“You’ve said that before and it was terrible.”
“Terrible. Really? Don’t be so dramatic.”
“Okay, horrifying, then.
“Come on, babe. I need your support.”

Maybe a bit of a cop-out for this week!!
I don’t think so. It was a wonderful bit of dialogue, flowed nicely, and had a fun surprise at the end. Unconventional? Certainly. But a cop-out? I wouldn’t say so!
Thanks!!! It was fun to write!
The picture you used to illustrate your story us rather like me first thing in the morning…. 🙂
OMG. I laughed and laughed. Really wasn’t prepared from that. I have a friend who posts scary clown pictures on my FB page just to torment me. I am terrified of clowns. Also, your dialogue was great.
Thanks!!! Not my best work, but fun nonetheless!
Clowns are terrifying!!!
woah! I nearly got a heart attack! 😀
Haha! Kind of a goofy story!
Totally just had a flashback of my ex, lmao. He was always doing crazy things like that.
In a good way I hope!!
Could go either way, hehe.
AARRGGGHHH!!! CLOWN!!! *hides*
Well, that creeped me out! 😀 I like it!
I must admit it was a bit of a cheap story as the week got busy and I needed to get something written!
You did mahvelous, dahling! 🙂 I think we all felt a little under the gun this time around. Some weeks are like that.
I agree! But not writing one is simply not an option!
I’m struggling again this week, hoping inspiration will strike! 😀
Lol maybe something is different…
