Loved yours. Lucy
Thanks, Lucy! Just finished your story! A very touching, painful look at making a decision. Thanks for sharing! TiV
This week: http://lividthoughts.wordpress.com/2014/02/28/coke-or-pepsi/
For once, I didn’t have to worry about word count.though.
Coke or Pepsi? That’s a tough decision and one that may result in significant regret and a living room redesign! Nice work on this prompt!!
I tried to write this one in the future tense, because I was told recently that it is really hard to do and I relished the challenge! Would appreciate any thoughts on this style, does it work, do you have any tips or could link me to a piece you know of written in future tense that might help me? I had to use the word ‘will’ a lot, that annoyed me, and would probably annoy you too if you hate repetition as I do. http://trifectumblog.wordpress.com/2014/02/28/look-somebody-has-got-to-make-a-decision/
This week’s submission: Committee
Certainly a committee I would take a pass on! Compelling story with a Shirley Jackson feel! Thanks for sharing, Chris! TiV
Should I be concerned that my first thought on seeing the prompt was ‘very English cannibals’?
Maybe a little! A least they’re waiting until all hope is lost for their perspective buffet!
I’m not sure that’s much better, to be honest.
Perhaps not if you’re on the menu. Nonetheless, another delightful little story!
Thank you.
Where’s the prompt for week nine? Or am I on the wrong page?
It’s on the main page and it’s also on the Prompts and Submissions page under Flash Fiction Challenge in the top menu.
